BMS World Mission is a Christian mission organisation, working in around 34 countries on four continents.
BMS believes in holistic mission, an approach that stays true to the Christian call to evangelisation without neglecting the duty to take care of the physical needs of the poor.
BMS works through long, medium and short-term workers, teams and volunteers, as well as a large number of supported national partner workers around the world, providing people, funding, training and expertise in the core areas of their work:
Selsdon Baptist church supports BMS both financially, and by partnering with specific BMS mission workers.
Christian Aid is an agency of the churches in the UK and Ireland. It works wherever the need is greatest – irrespective of religion or race.
Because Christian Aid believes in strengthening people to find their own solutions to the problems they face, they support local organisations, which are best placed to understand local needs. They also give help on the ground through 16 overseas offices.
Selsdon Baptist Church supports Christian Aid Week in May each year, through door to door collections, Christian Aid Lunches, Quiz Nights etc.

South Asian Concern is a small multi-racial partnership of Christ’s followers with a particular concern for and focus on South Asia and South Asians around the world. They came into existence in 1989.
South Asian Concern works with churches and individuals in the UK to encourage, equip and enable them to be more effective in their engagement with South Asians. This is done through training, books and resources, supporting ministers, networking and events. They also partner with a number of people and projects in South Asia (mainly north India).
They respect people of all faiths and none, and their activities include providing resources and training to help people to build bridges of friendship and better understanding.
Jesus Christ is their inspiration and guide. They believe that his life and teaching, his death and resurrection provide both the way for us to have peace with God and also the direction for our lives. They are committed to follow him and they believe that he is good news for everybody.
