The Lost Sheep, Lovely Tea Shop & Gift Shop in Caterham 

Are you looking for the ideal place for a tea or coffee?

Somewhere with a lovely atmosphere, something you can’t quite put your finger on, but you know what it is when you’ve found it? A place of tranquillity, somewhere with that ‘je ne sais quoi’.

The Lost Sheep on the outskirts of Caterham Valley is just THAT place. It’s the place you’d love to take your Mum or Dad; the place to take your friend who just needs to ‘be’. A quiet place to take your children.

Upstairs is a lovely shop; full of quirky, ‘different’ gifts. Just the place to browse; an even better one to buy something. for the person who has everything, the person who has nothing special, but for whom that little thoughtful gift could mean everything.

But the real gem lies downstairs; it’s the coffee shop. That’s where Sally’s heart really lies; it’s really why she runs the place. It’s a space for the Community, a space for you. But you may also know someone who feels a bit lost. That maybe you, someone in your family; a friend or neighbour. Someone who’s a bit lonely; who doesn’t feel they ‘fit’. The Lost sheep is the place for you; the place for them. You may have a team of befrienders, who want somewhere to take someone they care for, someone with dementia or with particular needs. You may want somewhere to have a meeting for your group. Let me know, and I’ll have a chat with Sally.

But it’s also somewhere where God’s heart of love is tangible and can be felt by those who need it most. It’s somewhere where seeds are planted or watered, and the ‘increase, or growth’ is up to God. No one is going to have God pushed in their face, or down their throat. But he’ll be there nonetheless.
