As one of the SBC 70 Acts of Service Denzil suggested for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee we decided to litter pick. A few of us couldn’t make the organised Saturday session on 25 June, so we had our own disorganised one(s) in the week instead. We tackled the alley beside the church and also the area at the bus stop by Selsdon community hall. We would really recommend it, as wearing the Selsdon Baptist Church jackets, people knew we were Christians. We had several conversations with local people of all ages and would do it again as an outreach to our community. Speak to one of us, or Jacqueline Barbour, if you’d like to be involved in a litter picking group another time. Hilary Howard, Gill White and Gillian Smith
