Giving Day 2022

For more information on our giving day, please click here

We’re so grateful for the generosity of everyone who’s part of our growing church family, offering their time and talents and support. Your commitment is making a difference, enabling us to come alongside people locally, both inside and outside our church, and also making it possible for us to bless those who are sharing God’s love around the world.

How does giving work at SBC?

The amount that you and your family give is between you and God (plus one or two members of our finance team who need to know the details to manage our book-keeping).  We also claim money back from HMRC (see below) linked to what people give us, but our only other source of income is the money we receive from renting rooms in the church building. It will be different for every individual and family and be empowered to give what you can, no amount is too small. God will bless your offering and he will bless you!

How to give:

  • Through your bank – we would encourage you to give by Standing Order if possible. Not only does this provide us with a regular income, it helps the church to plan ahead and set budgets and there is no cost to the church. You can set this up directly with your bank and the details you need can be sent to you by contacting Please use your name as the reference so we can identify the gift as coming from you for Gift Aid purposes (see below).
  • Online - complete our on-line giving form below or
  • By cash or cheque – you can make donations through the offerings we take at each of our Sunday services.  (We can increase the value of your gifts through Gift Aid if you are a UK taxpayer. Please sign a Gift Aid form, and then give by cheque or put your cash donation in an envelope with your name on it).  Please make cheques payable to Selsdon Baptist Church.

If you are a member or attend the church regularly, and pay UK income tax, please use the Gift Aid Scheme. As a registered charity we can recover basic rate income tax paid by donors on the amount given; this adds up to tens of thousands of pounds for the church each year.  Gift Aid represents a significant benefit to the church and costs you nothing more!  We will do all the administration, please contact for further details.

Planning your Visit

We’re glad you've chosen to have a look at our website, and hope you’re interested to find out more about Selsdon Baptist Church.

A church is primarily about people, and we are a friendly group of people who love God and live in Selsdon and nearby.

We have a church building on Addington Road, Selsdon, and we are starting to worship again in this space as Covid restrictions ease. Some people are still not comfortable joining us in person, so we also live stream our worship on YouTube

We’d be delighted for you to join us at 10:30am on Sundays either in person or on our live stream YouTube worship. You can also listen to the midweek reflections on YouTube.

If you’d like to find out more about us and about our Christian faith, please browse the website. The Blog page will give you a feel for our recent ideas and activities. If you would like to talk to someone, please fill out the contact form below for a chat.
