Christiana – Mother of teenagers 

This response to Christiana's prayer was left on the table by one of our SBC friends for our Youth in the July session:

Most of us including young people are facing difficult situations, but today we
can take comfort in Jeremiah 29:11.
Knowing that it's not to immediately rescue us from hardship or suffering but
rather a promise that
'God has a plan for our lives and regardless of our current situation, He can
work through it to prosper us and give us HOPE'

Heavenly Father,
Thank you for your word and faithfulness to keep our children and ourselves on the right path.

I pray that they will grow to know and love you for themselves. That they will grow to be man and women after your own heart. May our children live a life of joyful celebration over their relationship with Jesus.  I pray that they will find joy in the fact that they are fearfully and wonderfully made as stated in Ps 139:14. That they are precious in your sight. May they not be deceived by this world, but I pray that your Holy Spirit will help them keep their focus on you as you are able to help them in all the challenges that they will face. May they be confident and fully persuaded in their heart that you will never fail them. Lord Jesus, I ask this in your precious and mighty name.
