Dawn – Community Hub
For those that don’t know:
June 2022 saw the launch of the local Community Hub to be held on the first Tuesday of every month here at SBC.
Community Hubs in Croydon have been developed to support local needs and develop the most relevant services for those in the immediate vicinity, by connecting health and care teams with residents and improving access to local support services. The local community can access the support they need to stay healthy, feel part of their community, gain greater access to information and advice and maintain independence.
As with any new initiative there are always challenges and your prayers are gratefully received.
Give thanks for:
-
the vision to set up local hubs up in Croydon and here locally in Selsdon
-
for the health and care teams and those from the voluntary groups in Selsdon coming together for our community
-
the faithfulness of those who provide refreshments
-
for those from our community that have been helped
Please pray for:
-
that increasing numbers of people will hear about the hub and have the confidence to ask for help and come to the hub to find out more
-
that God will show us how to develop this initiative further as at outreach here in Selsdon
-
that God will present opportunities for us to show his love and graciousness to everyone and to those who do not yet know Him
1 Peter 4 vs 8-10
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
1 Corinthians 12 vs 4-6
There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone, it is the same God at work.”
1 John 3:18 (TPT- The Passion Translation)
Beloved children, our love can't be an abstract theory we only talk about, but a way of life demonstrated through our loving deeds.
Heavenly Father,
Teach us to be willing to serve others, to trust you as you lead us in this new venture and to be patient, loving and generous to all those who come to the Hub. We ask this in your precious name, Amen
