One hundred children 'Experience Easter' at SBC
On three afternoons –18, 19 and 20 March – three classes from Selsdon Primary School came to visit the Easter Experience in our church. In small groups, the children, aged between 5 and 7 years, moved around different rooms at church calling at 6 'stations' in turn.
At each station, a volunteer from SBC told the children a part of the Easter story and explained its relevance to their lives today. The stations covered Palm Sunday, Jesus washing the disciples' feet, the Last Supper, Gethsemane, the crucifixion and the resurrection.
The visit finished with squash and biscuits as the children finished off some colouring. It was hard to say who enjoyed this more – the children or the SBC volunteers!
