FAIRTRADE FORTNIGHT 2026

While we grieve at so much that is wrong in the world today, we are not powerless! We have the opportunity to make a positive impact on individuals and communities in poorer countries simply by changing some of the products we are in the habit of buying. Switching to fairly traded items like tea, coffee, chocolate, sugar, and even flowers, is one way of providing a little hope and justice to those who could easily be exploited by our supermarkets buying goods at prices that rob the growers and producers of the funds to pay for education and health and to reinvest in their community.  

The cost of our cheap food is often borne by those who produce it without just reward for their labour. For those who already regularly stock up on fairtrade food products, maybe take another step and seek out fairly traded clothing.

An internet search will show different websites with a variety of styles and prices.

Look out for the Fairtrade symbol. Make a switch today and for the future, and be a blessing to someone far away.
