NEWS ON THE NEW DOWNSTAIRS KITCHEN 

The Facilities Team have been working steadily on transforming the old unused ‘Flower Room’ behind the Coffee Lounge into an additional kitchen which will mean extra space for people doing catering and refreshments downstairs.

Outside professionals have done the structural work and electrical wiring, but our Church Secretary Andy, and others in the Facilities Team, have been working on fitting it out. There are still some things to finish off and equipment to buy, but the kitchen is already being used regularly one day a week. 

On Saturdays our LBA Leadership Year intern, Chris Mclean, has been baking in the new kitchen and selling his baked goods as part of his 'Doff Bakery' venture. The bread and other goodies go on sale at 10am on a Saturday and have been selling out in under an hour! Why not give them a try? (Please note that the oven in the new kitchen, which belongs to Chris, is a professional oven and is not for general use.)
