CROYDON NIGHT SHELTER BIG GIVE

For several years, we hosted a homeless shelter at SBC on Thursday nights as part of the Croydon Churches Floating Shelter. More recently, a night shelter has run through the winter months at West Croydon, manned by volunteers from local churches.

The shelter is asking for donations and has sent this request:

"We are planning to run a night shelter again this winter, which will be held at West Croydon Baptist Church, and we currently have enough funding for three months.

Last winter the shelter ran from January till April ‘26. This year we want to open from start of November ’26 to end of March ‘27 so as to cover all the cold months.

We are very excited to announce that thanks to an anonymous donor, on Monday 28 September we will be launching a £45k Match Fund campaign via Big Give to raise funds for the Shelter this year.
