Church Weekend At Home
28th March to 30th March 2024

We are pleased to be having a church weekend at home here at SBC. This will be an opportunity to get to know each other in our church family, worship together and think more deeply about how God is speaking to us through the book of Isaiah (our current sermon series). There will also be provision for children aged 0–13 during the daytime on Saturday.

Dr Stuart Murray-WilliamsOur guest speaker is Dr Stuart Murray-Williams. Stuart spent 12 years as an urban church planter in East London and has continued to be involved in church planting as a trainer, mentor, writer, strategist and consultant. For nine years he was Oasis Director of Church Planting and Evangelism at Spurgeon’s College, London. Since then, he has worked as a trainer and consultant, with particular interest in urban mission, church planting and emerging forms of church. He is the founder of Urban Expression. He has written many books and is also a friend of Trevor’s.
Programme of events:
Friday 28 March, 7.00–9.00: Meal with introduction to our guest speaker and the theme for the weekend.
Saturday 29 March, 10.00–3.00: Input from Stuart, lunch and practical sessions. A children’s programme will be running concurrently during the day.
Saturday 29 March 7.00–9.00: Live music quiz with local West End performer, Sheridan Smith (bring your own snacks and drinks).
Sunday 30 March, 10.30–12.00: Stuart will be preaching.
